Concept Budget
Upon completion of the preliminary drawings, Advanced Building Group Inc. will develop a concept budget to determine the initial cost parameters for the project. Throughout the Design Phase, as the design is refined, the concept budget serves as a baseline for the project team to develop further cost savings. The concept budget is designed to keep costs within 5% of the Owner's targeted budget.
Cost-Benefit Analysis
Advanced Building Group Inc. can use constructability reviews and value engineering to conduct cost-benefit analyses throughout the Design Phase. These can provide the Owner and their team with alternatives that can provide significant cost savings. Depending on the impact on the project of a particular component, a range of cost savings can be explored.
Progressive Budgeting
Advanced Building Group Inc. can prepare detailed budgets at various stages of the design. These can be designed for each project, based upon 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% working drawings, and each can incorporate cost-benefit analyses alternatives. These budgets are closely compared to a control estimate; any deviations are immediately addressed and resolved, minimizing any potential problems and disruptions to the project.
Control Estimate
Once the building concept is agreed upon, Advanced Building Group Inc. develops and implements cost estimates to be used as a control estimate. The control estimate serves as a baseline comparison to measure the progressive budgets and to keep costs within budget. The control estimate is based on design development drawings where detailed quantities and calculable costs can be determined. |
