Bid Phases
Advanced Building Group Inc. will direct and implement the bid phases for all projects, in concert with the Architect, Owner, and entire project team. Cost reduction strategies implemented during the bidding process are as follows:

• Recommend strategy for project delivery
• Implement pre-qualification process
• Strategically select the bid date
• Eliminate onerous or ambiguous language in the construction documents
• Provide easy access to bid documents
• Market the project through advertisement, public notice, and telephone follow-up
• Analyze and review bid proposals and make recommendations to the Owner
• Eliminate contradictions and uncertainties in the plans

Selection of Subcontractor
Advanced Building Group Inc. has established a list of subcontractors and vendors known to perform various services. All such subcontractors are pre-qualified. The following areas of operation are analyzed:

• Experience in similar work
• Capabilities of managing and staffing the job
• Ability to maintain schedules
• Safety program and experience
• Minority Business Enterprise considerations
• Bonding limitations

As bids and proposals are received, they are checked against the budget and estimate for completeness. A thorough review is performed to ensure that all exclusions, inclusions, alternates, etc., are identifiable and understandable. If an item or work is within the acceptable range of the budgeted amount and the low bidder has met all other criteria relative to schedule and capacity to perform, the bidder is then called to a pre-award conference. The price, conditions, inclusions, exclusions and alternates are reviewed and evaluated. Advanced Building Group Inc. requires all subcontractors to maintain specific types of insurance coverage.

Recommendations for Award
Advanced Building Group Inc. will provide our clients with recommendations for award for all projects. We will also:

• Assist in the preparation of contracts for execution by the Owner
• Issue contracts using industry standard contract forms and purchase agreements with project-specific modifications or provisions,
or using standard owner contract documents
• Require all contractors, whether prime or general, to provide appropriate levels of insurance
• Require all contractors to provide adequate performance and payment bonds.
• Require all contractors to meet the minimum qualification and experience standards to be deemed responsive. All such
requirements will be set forward in the bid documents.

Advanced Building Group Inc. operates under the various contracts of the American Institute of Architects, modified as mutually agreed, with General Conditions. Cost of Work is based on competitive bids from subcontractors.
